ABOUT US
Founded in 2013, La Girobussola APS is a pioneering association in the field of cultural accessibility, with a specific focus on visual impairment.
Every year, dozens of our members actively take part in and benefit from our efforts to overcome sensory barriers.
Our goal is to transform the experience of cultural heritage, still too often primarily visual, into an increasingly inclusive and accessible one.
La Girobussola APS is a member of ARCI association network and and partners with Viaggiemiraggi to deliver inclusive and responsible tourism experiences.

OUR TEAM
Marta
Founder and president of La Girobussola APS. Since 1989 she has been enthusiastically describing, drawing, teaching, designing, but above all she strongly believes in self-determination as a tool for equality. She often leaves a trace in the shape of tactile maps.
Luigi
Born a musicologist, raised hopping around Europe, studying and loving deeply the environments, peoples and languages of the places he inhabited. Through accessibility he channels the transdisciplinary approach developed over the years. Vice-president of the association.
Martina
Secretary of the association and cultural mediator, she believes in the power of encounter as an engine for growth. She seeks contact with ever-changing realities, people, and contexts, believing that new ideas, solutions, and perspectives arise from authentic relationships and active listening.
Letizia
Her interest in multisensoriality began with a dissertation on communication without images. She sees accessibility as a bridge between different perceptive realities. In the association she is a tour leader and researches creative solutions towards inclusion.
Paolo
Volunteer, former teacher now retired. On top of a lifelong dedication to music (especially traditional), out of necessity and curiosity he has dealt with everything that promotes inclusion, with a particular focus on aids that make life easier for the blind.
